My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In one sentence, I am in love with this book! This is romance at its best! I still have a bit of a book hangover after finishing and it’s hard to put my thought into words but I will try my best.

Right, Emma is one of the rising stars of Hollywood. Shane is just a small town high school English teacher. Emma is hiding from the public eye, and happens to find solace in Shane’s hometown. They meet, they fall in love and then things start crumble.
The plot is great. I had serious emotions going on while reading this book. I wanted them to survive as a couple. There were so many twists, but I like that it’s still really focused on the relationship and the characters.
The characters are amazing as well. Especially Shane. I also like Sallie a lot. I even like Liam and he doesn’t actually exists anymore. I also think that I have never ever hated a character as much (well maybe Umbridge in HP) as I hate Shane’s mother. Emma’s mother is not far behind either. I really don’t understand how parents can treat their children this way.
In short, this is a beautiful romance between two people from somewhat different worlds with the world’s worst parents. Be prepared for some serious emotional experiences. I loved it!

Significance by Shelly Crane (Significance series #1) (ARC)

Significance (Significance, #1)Significance by Shelly Crane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is brilliant!

At first, I had my doubts since the beginning is a bit slow and it felt like your average teenage drama. But, as soon as the supernatural is introduced the story picks up and everything is way more exciting. The plot is actually quite intense and the whole villan family thing really puts a twist on things. I really also like that sex is constantly talked about, I mean the main characters are teenagers, but sex is not the driving point in the story and it is actually common for Aces to wait until marriage to have sex. This gives a very refreshing air to this book.
The characters are also great. Maggie, of course, as the main female lead is who we learn the most about and I quire like her. I also really like Caleb, but the other characters like Kyle, although he is suppose to be one of the good guys, I don’t like that much at all. He is just an asshole really. I like how Maggie’s dad grows within the story although he still isn’t a super dad by any means.
All in all, this is a great book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I have a Hunch by Jeremy Decoursey

What a thrilling read!
This is exactly the type of mystery I enjoy. It’s almost like Agatha Christie mixed with a bit of humor.
The plot is great! It’s interesting and I for one did not have any clue who the murderer was until the very end. I also really like that the main character is a young girl and we see everything from her point of view. That makes the book more interesting I think.
All the characters are interesting too, but Humphrey has to be in a league on his own! He is super cool. For some reason I keep seeing Frank Hathaway from the TV program as Humphrey but that probably isn’t how he actually is.
All in all, this book is great and keep on your toes mystery and the way it is written is brilliant!

Eudora Honeysett is quite well, thank you by Annie Lyons (Audiobook)

Eudora Honeysett is Quite Well, Thank YouEudora Honeysett is Quite Well, Thank You by Annie Lyons
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Okay, this book is brilliant. At first, I was not sure whether I would enjoy this book as it seemed a bit depressing for me, but I think as soon as Rose appears, I was turned around and I just knew this book would be amazing.
The story itself is beautiful and I think old people’s and even young people’s loneliness should be taken more seriously. I also feel so sorry and so angry for Eudora as she is an amazing character who has been given a really bad hand in life. This book also opened my eyes to why some older people might sometimes seem rude and not really mean it.
Rose has to be my favorite character out of this book and I hope that if I ever have a daughter, she would be as amazing as Rose is. She is so bright, and brave and lovely I wish I could meet her in real life. I also like how adamant Stanley is to befriend Eudora. I just loved following the growing friendship between these three characters. I also like how they talk about death and life. It’s not a common topic in books but it’s something all of have to face.
Eudora’s story is also very interesting to read about and although it made me really sad and angry to learn about everything that she’s faced, it helps to understand why Eudora acts the way she does.
The characters in this story are really good and complex. I really loved following them along their journey and I loved how they became such close friends. I also really like the ending. It is so sad, but also so happy and I did not cry in the end but I did cry in the middle of the book because that part is just so incredibly sad.

I listened the audiobook and I think the narrator makes the book come to life. Their voice just made me feel like Eudora herself was talking and telling her story to me and I really enjoyed this. I think I enjoyed this more as an audiobook than I would have enjoyed it had I read the book myself.

All in all, this book is just amazing! And I recommend to everybody!

The Disapproving Duke by Noël Cades

Just wow! I’m a big fan of historical fiction and historical romance especially and The Disappearing Duke is so, so good! The storyline is quite predictable but I don’t mind that and I quite enjoyed following James and Diana on their journey.
The characters are great and I love how a lot of Diana’s friendship relationships are very involved in this story and I like that there is actual friendships between men and women in the story which I think is quite different compared to other historical romance novels!
I am so so glad I got to read this book and I’m so glad there is a happy ending for all involved. That always makes me happy. All in all, this is a great, happy and a lovely story.

The demon always wins by Jeanne Oates Estridge

The Demon Always Wins (Touched by a Demon #1)The Demon Always Wins by Jeanne Oates Estridge
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

God and Satan play poker together. They also bet against each other for souls. Belial is the demon chosen to corrupt one of the good humans. Not everything goes according to plan. That’s the brief of this great story.

At first, I was not too sure about this book. The start was a bit slow and I did not fancy Dara’s character but I learned to like her.
The story plot is good and it gets better and better the further along the story you go. It made me feel things which is always a good thing and I definitely started to wish for a certain happy ending. There are also certain plot twists that I at least were not expecting and this makes the book better.
The characters also are great. I always liked Ben and I always hated Lilith. Ben is definitely my favorite character and I am not too keen to Nana, but she grows on you.
All in all, a great story and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

It all started with a car crash and it changes Kyle’s life forever.

Review

I’m in love with this story. It is so heartbreaking and happy, all at the same time and OMG those plot twists. Mind blowing! It was so great to follow Kyle and Marley as they fall in love and safe each other.

The characters are great. I especially like Kyle. I don’t know if I have read a book in the male lead’s point of view since Harry Potter so it was a change. And loved it. There is not too many books where you get to read about guy’s emotions and experiences and I loved it.

The ending is beautiful and I’m sure this will be a book I will go back to and reread many times. Just beautiful

The extreme dating diaries of Isabelle Monroe

The Extreme Dating Diaries of Isabelle MonroeThe Extreme Dating Diaries of Isabelle Monroe by Natasha Charles
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I did enjoy this book although sometimes I hated the character.

The idea of the book is brilliant and some of the stories are SO relatable and true. I personally dislike dating, probably because all the dates I’ve been on have been bad ones.

Like I said, I did not always like the main character very much, because sometimes she acts in a way that just makes her dislikable. But she is an interesting character as well and I did enjoy reading about her experiences.

Some of the dating sites mentioned in this book really made my interest rise and I actually checked them out. I did not sign up to any, but as an experience trying out those dating sites could be interesting.

And the ending is brilliant and totally surprising. I was not expecting that to happen, not at all!

The Switch by N´Beth O’Leary (Audiobook)

The SwitchThe Switch by Beth O’Leary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Leena is overworked Londoner who on the brink of a nervous breakdown returns home and changes lives with her grandmother Eileen.
Eileen goes to London to try the dating scene there and to try out Leena’s life.
Switching lives turns out to be the best decision they’ve ever made.

I really enjoyed this book. The story plot is brilliant and I really like how much good they manage to do in each others lives. It is also interesting to see how they work through the grieve they all have. I mean that is the inner point of this book in my opinion. The different ways people try to get through grieve. The book has both deep and serious and humorous and light tones to it. And all those tones make the book the brilliant piece of literature it is.

The characters are also interesting. I have not read too many books with an older lady as the main character so this was a new experience for me. I quite liked reading the dating adventures of Eileen. I also like Leena a lot, although her plain trust in Ethan frustrated me a bit, especially in the end. And speaking of Ethan, I really disliked him from the start. He just never gave me positive feelings.

All in all I enjoyed this audiobook. It is super cool that there is too different narrators, to give Eileen and Leena their own voices. It gives story more layers and it’s also a lot easier to follow.

The Cherry Tree Café by Heidi Swain (Audiobook)

The Cherry Tree CafeThe Cherry Tree Cafe by Heidi Swain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Lizzie is forced to move back home after a disastrous break up, she does not thing that she would find love, a former hobby and a business there.

I really loved listening to this book. The story is so heartwarming and although Lizzie faces a lot of heartache as well, there’s no moments where I would think she would not get her happy ending. I like the idea of a cafe and crafting space mixed together. And the way that the story is told, makes crafting so appealing that I wish I could take up one of the classes at the Cherry Tree Cafe (although I do have a slight fixation on crocheting at the moment anyway.

The characters are amazing as well. I mean Lizzie is amazing on her own, but my absolute favourite is Ben, for some reason. He just makes me think of someone I might want to date and marry in the future so I loved following him throughout the book. Then there are some characters I really ended up hating and I really feel that hating a character is a sign of an amazing piece of literature.

I have really fallen in love with audiobooks and this one just made me fall harder. The narrator is easy to listen to and her voice is simply soothing. I’m not a native English speaker (although I have lived four years in English speaking countries and completed a university degree, so I feel I’m quite good at English), and had no problems understanding anything and I loved this listening experience.
