This book is amazing. There’s nothing bad I can say.
The plot is interesting, hot and at times very thrilling. It moves along fast enough for you not to get bored but still you can keep up. The suspense adds a sudden, very welcome twists to the story and I was hooked from the start.

The characters are also great. It’s not often that you have female characters that are also rich in a billionaire alpha male romance book like this and I found that refreshing. I also like that no matter how bad things get in the book, the triad’s relationship stay strong and they support and love each other. They try to help and solve the problems by talking to each other and not hide things and go solo like in so many books I’ve read in the best. I also think that the main characters are simply marvelous and I love simply everything about this book.

All in all, a great book and I loved reading it. I think this is a good book to read for anybody enjoying steamy romance even if you are not familiar to MMF romance. In one sentence, super brilliant book.

The Girls by Lisa Jewell

The GirlsThe Girls by Lisa Jewell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is definitely a dark book. When I was thirteen I played with Barbies and spent time at a friend’s house and outside, but we didn’t even really know about alcohol or drugs and boyfriends and girlfriends were just basically holding someone’s hand and going for a walk.
This book truly brings out the darker side of children and teenagers and it definitely reminds me to really focus on my kids (if I have some) when they are that age.
The plot is so good and I pretty much suspected all the adult characters but not many of the kids, but then the kids turned out to be not so nice. In the end, I was not surprised who the attacker was in the end, but I was really surprised with the ending.
The characters are all very interesting and they all have secrets that come out one way or the other. It makes the book more interesting and gives the story the twists that make it so good.
All in all, a very thrilling story.

Secrets at Maple Syrup Farm by Rebecca Raisin

Secrets at Maple Syrup FarmSecrets at Maple Syrup Farm by Rebecca Raisin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is is a brilliant story about finding one’s self, about love and about friendships.
The beginning is a bit boring for me, but as soon as Lucy fully merges into life of Ashford, the story gets interesting.
The characters are good and I really like how they all support each other and come together all the time. Nobody is left alone. Clay is also special. I had my suspicions about his “problem”, but I was thinking of something else before it came out. Clay might be grumpy, but he has a big heart and really like how Lucy helps him come out of his shell and welcome in some of the spirit of Ashford.
I personally did not know the process of making maple syrup before so it was also really interesting to learn a bit about that as well while reading this book.
All in all, this is a great heart-warming story and I’m glad I got to read it.

Significance by Shelly Crane (Significance series #1) (ARC)

Significance (Significance, #1)Significance by Shelly Crane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is brilliant!

At first, I had my doubts since the beginning is a bit slow and it felt like your average teenage drama. But, as soon as the supernatural is introduced the story picks up and everything is way more exciting. The plot is actually quite intense and the whole villan family thing really puts a twist on things. I really also like that sex is constantly talked about, I mean the main characters are teenagers, but sex is not the driving point in the story and it is actually common for Aces to wait until marriage to have sex. This gives a very refreshing air to this book.
The characters are also great. Maggie, of course, as the main female lead is who we learn the most about and I quire like her. I also really like Caleb, but the other characters like Kyle, although he is suppose to be one of the good guys, I don’t like that much at all. He is just an asshole really. I like how Maggie’s dad grows within the story although he still isn’t a super dad by any means.
All in all, this is a great book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

The Little Swiss Ski Chalet by Julie Caplin (Audiobook ARC)

The Little Swiss Ski Chalet (Romantic Escapes #7)The Little Swiss Ski Chalet by Julie Caplin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This audiobook is simply brilliant!
From the first word I was hooked. Somehow this story just pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down. The plot itself is great! I love the idea of moving to another country to follow your dreams. I also really like the atmosphere the ski chalet created and the idea of the guest being basically one huge family.
The story plot is just simply warm, happy and heartfelt. Although, there are some serious things happening as well, I felt happy the whole time I was listening to this book. The love story in this book is simply fabulous and I hope that I will find something like that in real life!
The characters are also all really great and interesting. I love Mina as a whole. I like her passion for life and her interest in food. I find Simon to be a complete idiot and I loved Luke. He is a dream!
All in all a brilliant and heart-warming love story and now I want to read the other books in the series as well!

The narrator of the audiobook is enjoyable and relaxing to listen to. I really enjoyed their voice and it was just really easy to listen to and get into. Just brilliant!

The Killings at Kingfisher Hill by Sophie Hannah (New Hercule Poirot Mysteries)

The Killings at Kingfisher Hill (New Hercule Poirot Mysteries, #4)The Killings at Kingfisher Hill by Sophie Hannah
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A new Poirot mystery. Poirot and inspector Catchpool embark on a journey to the Kingfisher estate to solve a murder no one really knows about or wants to talk about. They face lies, hatred and peculiar happenings along their investigation but in the end they do catch the right killer.

I’m a huge fan of Agatha Christie and of Hercule Poirot so I was super excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. From start to finish this book kept me guessing and wondering and I in the end I was truly surprised.

The characters are very Christie like I think, and I quite like them. I also like that the book is told in the perspective of Catchpool. The story plot is interesting and like I said it kept me guessing until the end and still surprised me. I was so sure I knew the killer, but I was wrong.

All in all, this is a great mystery and I cannot wait to read more books in this series.

Adventurous me by Deanndra Hall (Audiobook)

Adventurous Me (Me, You, and Us, #1)Adventurous Me by Deanndra Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trish is devastated when her husband of almost 30 years dumbs her for being boring. She meets a mysterious man in a bar and when he invites her to a different kind of club she agrees and that is when she starts to truly discover herself.
I know the description is a bit boring, but the book itself is great.
I really enjoyed this book. I love how Trish is introduced to the life of BDSM. It’s so through compared to a lot of other BDSM books I’ve read. I also like that it’s not just focused on a BDSM club but rather it focuses on the relationship between Trish and Clint. I always love reading about characters relationship development.
The one thing that wasn’t really for me, was the fact that Trish is quite a bit of older than Clint and that for me is not pleasant. It doesn’t make the worse or anything, I’m just young still and it’s hard for me to put myself in her place on that aspect of the story.
The characters are great, although, I kind of wished that Trish would settle down with another character, but towards the end Clint changes for the better.
This is also a quick book to listen and I actually listened it in a day.
I didn’t really enjoy the narrator. Her voice for some reason just isn’t for me, but it got better toward the end as well.

All in all, a great book and a brilliant start of a series

The Switch by N´Beth O’Leary (Audiobook)

The SwitchThe Switch by Beth O’Leary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Leena is overworked Londoner who on the brink of a nervous breakdown returns home and changes lives with her grandmother Eileen.
Eileen goes to London to try the dating scene there and to try out Leena’s life.
Switching lives turns out to be the best decision they’ve ever made.

I really enjoyed this book. The story plot is brilliant and I really like how much good they manage to do in each others lives. It is also interesting to see how they work through the grieve they all have. I mean that is the inner point of this book in my opinion. The different ways people try to get through grieve. The book has both deep and serious and humorous and light tones to it. And all those tones make the book the brilliant piece of literature it is.

The characters are also interesting. I have not read too many books with an older lady as the main character so this was a new experience for me. I quite liked reading the dating adventures of Eileen. I also like Leena a lot, although her plain trust in Ethan frustrated me a bit, especially in the end. And speaking of Ethan, I really disliked him from the start. He just never gave me positive feelings.

All in all I enjoyed this audiobook. It is super cool that there is too different narrators, to give Eileen and Leena their own voices. It gives story more layers and it’s also a lot easier to follow.

Dear Emmie Blue by Lia Louis (Audiobook)

Dear Emmie BlueDear Emmie Blue by Lia Louis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Emmie Blue has always been more or less alone. Well, until Luke found her balloon. But now he is getting married and she is once again losing everything. But what if things are not quite as they seem and there is someone who will never leave her.

I had no expectations for this book. The cover just looked nice and the description was interesting. It turned out this book was perfect for me. I could not stop listening to it. From the first word spoken, I was hooked.
The whole story plot is so interesting and so gripping that I was a bit dazed when the final music was playing. The story is beautiful and I feel like thinks went exactly as I wanted them to go. In the end, everybody are happy, more or less.
I don’t this book would not be as good as it is, if Elliot and Luke and all the other characters were not in it and I simply love every single character in this book (well, maybe there are few that I hate a little bit) and I especially like Elliot. He is such a good human being it’s unreal. And I’m so happy that he ends up where he ends up. It just makes everything so much better.

The narrator of this book is simply brilliant. I really enjoyed listening to the clear, somewhat soothing voice and it was especially great when I was listening this book during the evenings, just before bed. I feel like the narrator really brings out Emmie. Her fragility and her loneliness. And then her happiness and everything else. I wouldn’t mind listening to other book read by her.

All in all, this book is brilliant and it touches on some serious issues and how girls might be treated after rape or other types of assaults. And I really like how it brings out the struggle years and years after the actual situation. Lovely, lovely story!

The Cherry Tree Café by Heidi Swain (Audiobook)

The Cherry Tree CafeThe Cherry Tree Cafe by Heidi Swain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Lizzie is forced to move back home after a disastrous break up, she does not thing that she would find love, a former hobby and a business there.

I really loved listening to this book. The story is so heartwarming and although Lizzie faces a lot of heartache as well, there’s no moments where I would think she would not get her happy ending. I like the idea of a cafe and crafting space mixed together. And the way that the story is told, makes crafting so appealing that I wish I could take up one of the classes at the Cherry Tree Cafe (although I do have a slight fixation on crocheting at the moment anyway.

The characters are amazing as well. I mean Lizzie is amazing on her own, but my absolute favourite is Ben, for some reason. He just makes me think of someone I might want to date and marry in the future so I loved following him throughout the book. Then there are some characters I really ended up hating and I really feel that hating a character is a sign of an amazing piece of literature.

I have really fallen in love with audiobooks and this one just made me fall harder. The narrator is easy to listen to and her voice is simply soothing. I’m not a native English speaker (although I have lived four years in English speaking countries and completed a university degree, so I feel I’m quite good at English), and had no problems understanding anything and I loved this listening experience.
